Pastor Barry and Elizabeth Speck

Pastor Barry has been the Senior Pastor since February 2023, coming to Country Estates from the Church of New Beginnings, Morenci, AZ, where he pastored for eight years. Pastor Barry and wife Elizabeth have been married for 34 years and have two grown sons. Pastor Barry received his call to ministry while living in Italy. He was a horse-whisperer and the family had an outreach to the Military. The small installation would often need a stand-in chaplain, and Barry filled in. As he neared the end of his time in Italy, his study of Scripture took front-and-center in his life as he studied Christian Ministry though Liberty University. After 26 years in Italy, the Speck family was transferred to Ft Huachuca. Within a few months, the family became members of Country Estates in 2010. The Country Estates congregation recognized God’s call on Barry’s life and ordained him a deacon in 2012 with a license to preach, and Ordained a Pastor in 2014 when he went to pastor The Church of New Beginnings. Pastor Barry is originally from York, England and Elizabeth is originally from Buffalo, NY. Pastor Barry is also a Hospice Chaplain and Elizabeth teaches at Cochise Community College.
